MICHAEL TYNAN MEMORIAL CHALLENGE

SATURDAY OCTOBER 22ND & SUNDAY 23RD

WALK, DRIVE OR PADDLE FROM WOLLONGONG TO SYDNEY TO HELP RAISE $500,000 FOR LOCAL MEDICAL RESEARCH

CHALLENGE 1:

Over two days on October 22-23, you will walk 100km through some of the world’s greatest hidden treasures found right here on Sydney's doorstep. On day 1, you will venture through the Royal National Park and be mesmerized by spectacular waterfalls, rock formations, flora and fauna accessed only by a few people. No words can describe the natural beauty of the walk. You will join an exclusive group to enjoy a pristine experience. Then soak up an historic sunset champagne ferry trip across to Cronulla for a very special surprise dinner. On day 2 you will enjoy some of the delights of Sutherland Shire.

CHALLENGE 2:

Hug the awesome cliff faces from Wollongong to Sydney as you join the paddlers. You will see nature at her best, from a place few people ever experience. The views will be jaw-dropping.

CHALLENGE 3:

Less demanding but fun, fun, fun will be the driving observation challenge to beat all car challenges. Glistening vintage cars and new cars will visit iconic landmarks throughout the South Coast and the Shire.

The goal is to raise $500,000 to further the work of SSMRF, of which Michael Tynan and Tynan Motors have been major supporters since it was founded 9 years ago.

The event will raise money exclusively for life-changing and life-saving medical research and acknowledge the memory of Michael Tynan – philanthropist and businessman.

Many prominent institutions, are supporting the event - including the University of Wollongong, St George Leagues and Cronulla Sutherland Leagues Club, the Illawarra Mercury and The Leader, Optus, St George Bank, Tradies, Westfield Miranda, Sharkies and Masterton Homes. Footballers from the Cronulla Sharks and St George Illawarra Dragons will be putting together walking teams which the community is invited to sponsor.
