A new one-day format has been adopted for the 2017 Michael Tynan Memorial Challenge, which raises valuable funds for the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation.

Participants will have the choice of walking the Coast Track from Otford to Bundeena or a driving challenge from Wollongong to Sydney.

If you like walking or driving this is a challenge for you - people are being asked to choose their means to get from Wollongong to Sutherland, in a bid to raise money for medical research.

Organisers are hoping to raise at least half a million dollars in its founder's namesake charity event, the Michael Tynan Memorial Challenge.
